I've Joined The Hybrid Nation

That's right.  I am part of the Hybrid Movement officially, after getting a Saturn Vue Hybrid.  No endorsement, my own personal car.

Why the Saturn, you ask? Honestly, because I was able to get a great deal from a private owner.

I was looking for an SUV hybrid, which on paper looks somewhat contradictory, but I was hoping to find my own sort of "hybrid" in needs - space and benefit to the environment.  There were a few I saw, realizing not many had been made yet, but sales reps at dealerships weren't working with me.  Mainly because they knew that there were few hybrids to go around.  But thanks to AJCcars.com, Katie actually first saw the person I chose to work with.

It is kind of freaky to feel the car turn off every time you come to a complete stop, and had the previous owner not warned me of that I probably would have demanded my money back.  But in it's very golf-cartish way it is now my new green chariot around the city.  I just have to find some cute, earthy bumper sticker to christen it.....

I would love to get a hybrid but I have run into the same problem you had. I saw that Chevrolet came out with a Tahoe hybrid, but it is like 50,000.00. What is the point in paying that much for a car? You would never be able to save the cost in gas. But anyhoo! Just thought I would leave a comment! Have a good day!
