In everyone's life, there has to be those potentially out-of-the-ordinary things that help distract you from the stresses of the day.
So why should I keep some of these things to myself? Of course, you may already be familiar with some of my new Guilty Pleasures, but if not - maybe we can share in these together.
I've already told you about being oddly fascinated by the Gosselins and their show "Jon & Kate Plus Eight."
Add to that on my DVR the show, "LA Ink," starring Kat Von D (who also happens to be a friend of mine on Facebook....brag). I do have one tattoo that I got in college while broke. Unfortunately with my kidney transplant I'm not allowed to upgrade it or get another one, but if I could I would travel to LA to have these ladies do it!
Also, I've gotten hooked on The Real Housewives of New York City. Unlike the housewives of the West Coast, the New York women seem to be edgier, smarter, and have better accents.
Katie is addicted to Workout. I also think she is subtly using it to try and to get me to....choke....work out.
And finally Katie Jo found a great music site, called Pandora. It's part of something called the Music Genome Project, which has set out to capture the "essence of music at it's most fundamental level:" from melody, harmony and rhythm, to arrangement and lyrics. Basically on Pandora you create your own "station," by picking a band you like and the site gives you a playlist with various artists based on that chosen band's style.
So from too many kids to specialized music, and all the ink and bling in between, these are my Guilty Pleasures of the week! (dramatic music with rustling of Cheetos in the background)

Thanks for sharing your "guilty pleasures" with us today! Oddly enough, as a parent of multiple children myself (I have four total, including a set of twins... which keep me very busy, but don't even put me in the same UNIVERSE as the Gosselins...), I'd never heard of Jon & Kate Plus 8 until I heard you saying you'd watched it with Katie Jo and family over the Thanksgiving break...
Since I now love that show so much, I'll have to give a few of your other suggestions a try in the coming days and weeks!
I'm embarassed to admit that one of my favorite "guilty pleasures" these days... is playing the games on Webkinz... a site introduced to me by my four children about a year ago...there are a few of the games on there that I find myself playing hours at a time, once I allow myself time to sign on and start... if you haven't gotten your own Webkinz animal and signon yet, I'm not sure whether I'd say "go for it," or "thank your lucky stars!!" LOL!!
