What Does This Mean?
I took this image of a logo I have seen over several buildings around town.

These buildings seem to always host many cars in the parking lots, at all hours of the day, but there is no sign to tell you what the company or organization is.
Just curious. Can anyone help identify the sign?
I believe it is an older version of the Alcoholics Anonymous logo.

Hrm..well, being a Harry Potter fan, it looks a lot like the Deathly Hollows symbol, except there is no line down the middle.

From: http://www.barefootsworld.net/aa-ctsymbol.html
"The Sobriety Circle & Triangle Symbol, is the symbol used by Alcoholics Anonymous. The equilateral triangle represents the three part answer - unity, recovery and service - to a three part disease - physical, mental and spiritual, while the circle represents wholeness or oneness.
The body should be triangular, stable, the mind circular, open.
The triangle represents the means for generation of good energy, and is the most stable physical posture.
The circle symbolizes serenity and perfection, and the source of unlimited potential. Together they represent the perfect union of mind and body.
It has been used in many native cultures. The priests, medicine men and seers of antiquity regarded the circle enclosing the triangle as a means of warding off spirits of evil, and A.A.'s circle and triangle of Recovery, Unity, and Service has certainly meant all of that to those of us in recovery and much more."

Or....others who need/ want to join AA now know where to go. And can gain confidence that there are others out there who share in their quest for a new beginning.

If what I'm finding online is correct, it could be a spot for AA meetings.

Hi Melissa,
Try this. Back in the 50's buildings designated as shelters from atomic bombs used a similar Civil Defense emblem to identify them. Google Civil Defense and check it out.

Hi Melissa.
Glenda has provided a very good answer, definition of, meaning, and history of the circle & triangle used in AA.
I would like to add something in regards to the part of your question, asking why there is no sign accompanying the logo-
Alcoholics Anonymous has Twelve Traditions, as well as Twelve Steps...
Tradition 6 is about never going into business; and Tradition 11 states that relations with the general public should protect personal anonymity, and avoid sensational advertising, (no signs) because AA wishes to be guided by the principle of attraction, rather than promotion.
And a side note: The circle & triangle symbol was used by AA from 1956-1993, when it was eliminated from literature printings. However, it is still used in many ways by AA, including "Clubhouse" identification, (like your photo), meeting schedules, event announcements, and sobriety coins, to name a few.
Although most meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous are closed to non-members, there are many "Open" meetings, which anyone can attend. But the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking, and there are no dues or fees. I highly recommend sitting in at an 'Open Speaker' meeting, to hear one member's life-transformation from train wreck, to shining example!
I hope this helps.
A sober miracle, Louie.
