Witches and Spiders and ECOuture, Oh My! Wait, ECOuture?
What is ECOuture, you ask? It is the product of a conversation with a friend of mine who was grossed out by organ donation.
"If you weren't my friend, I'm not sure if I'd be an organ donor," she revealed.
She further explained that I helped her properly understand the importance of donating organs but that she was still turned off by common transplant terms like harvesting and cadaver donor.
I thought there had to be a way to re-introduce the concept of organ donation and mentioned to my friend if people were into recycling their paper and plastic, whey were they not recycling themselves?
Aha.
Thus, ECOuture. An earth-friendly fashion show where it isn't just the materials in the clothes that are recyclable, the models are too. And that is the message of the event - Recycle Yourself - with money raised going to the Melissa Carter Transplant Fund and the Georgia Transplant Foundation.
The event is October 15th at Opera Nightclub in Midtown with tickets going for $30-$50. I want this to become an annual event in Atlanta, so I need to sell out ECOuture in the next 2 weeks.
I will make several spontaneous appearances at places throughout the city between now and then, with tickets in hand, ready to sell to anyone who brings case or a check. But I will only advertise where I will be in this Blog. I might even have a few Halloween goodies for those who get their tickets from me in person. *insert evil laugh here*
Not want to remember to come back to this site for my announcements? Subscribe to this blog and an e-mail will be sent to you when I post new clues on where I will be. And if you have any suggestions on where you'd like me to go let me know!

See you soon!!

Melissa,
I'd love for you to go to either Sandy Plains baseball fields in E. Cobb., or Pope High School football fields or basketball court in E. Cobb... because I seem to live at those places... and I'd be glad to buy a ticket from you for such a worthy cause!
Best,
