The Tummy Tub Is Kinda Freakin' Me Out
So apparently there is a new product that helps stop babies from crying. And it's a bucket.

Called the Tummy Tub, the European-designed bucket is used to calm and bathe babies especially those with colic and gas.
It works by creating a womb-like experience and allowing them to relax in the fetal position.

that can not be safe at all... what if they get wedged down in there? are you suppose to dump it over like you do the car washing bucket when you are done? do they realize how many children drown in buckets and toilets but accident each year... let alone taking the risk of putting them in a cramped bucket on purpose... irregardless of adult supervision.

This is not a new invention. Midwives have been using the Tummy Tub for years in Germany. My own kids were bathed in this tub and they loved it. So did I because its easy to use and the risk for a baby to drown is definetly not higher than in a common bath tub. Don't judge something you never tried.

This is actually the safest bath tub on the market! It has passed worldwide safety standards. Most bath tubs you find in the store haven't even gotten the new US testing done. Super safe! Babies & parents who use the TummyTub love it! Only negative comments come from people who have never tried it. Everyone deserves an alternative to the old stand by. This tub really does calm crying babies down and makes bath time easier for parents. Love it!

The weird thing is, I went to the site and didn't see a single photo of a baby with its head submerged in the tub like this photo shows, or this photo at all for that matter. Maybe I missed it. Every photo shows that the mother holds the baby under the chin to keep its head above water.
I agree that it definitely does look freaky at first, but once I read the explanation, it makes sense to me. I'm pregnant and I'd be willing to give this tub a try.
