Tips To Help You Avoid Getting A Traffic Ticket on Thanksgiving Holiday

If you are heading out on the road this Thanksgiving like me, then you want to make sure it won't cost you extra in the form of a traffic ticket.  AOL Autos has come up with Five Tips that will help you avoid a ticket this holiday weekend:

1.  Don't Drive Too Slowly.  Speeding can get you a ticket, but so can driving too slowly.  If you are not keeping up with the flow of traffic, it may signal to a cop that you're driving under the influence.

2.  Don't Drive Tired.  If you are tired from the turkey it may make you less alert and slow your reaction times.

3.  Thanksgiving Isn't Just Thursday.  Cops will be out all weekend starting tonight through Monday morning.  Be aware.

4.  Don't Blame You're Speeding On Dinner Time.  If you are caught speeding, don't make any excuses at all.  They won't work, since it's not the cop's fault you're running late.

5.  Watch for Checkpoints.  Some police forces have started setting up random checkpoints in heavily trafficked areas.  The point is to catch drunk drivers with their pants down (or in this case unbuckled after the big Turkey meal.)

Happy Thanksgiving and Be Safe on the road!!

I'm sure they'll catch someone with their pants down, too. Funny for us as long as noone's hurt.

    Be safe out there!
